Play-off
The playoffs, play-offs, postseason and/or finals of a sports league are a post-season competition. In England and Scotland these are used to decide the promotion of lower finishing teams. In the Championship (the second tier of English football) the teams coming on third to sixth place compete for a place in the Premier League. Championship and League 1 are directly below the Super League.
